Who We Are
Welcome to AICO Stellar Scholars, your portal to exploring the wonders of the universe! Our goal is to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of astronomy for students in grades 7 to 10. Through interactive modules and multimedia lessons, we encourage young learners to look up at the stars and explore the science that shapes our cosmos.
This program, managed by Dr. Elaina Hyde, the director of the Allan I. Carswell Observatory at York University, enables us to provide authentic astronomical insights and resources directly to our learners. This ensures that the content we offer is rooted in real-world expertise and stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of astronomy.

Our Missions & Goals
Our mission is to ignite a lifelong passion for astronomy and space science in students by offering high-quality, engaging, and accessible educational content. We are dedicated to addressing educational inequality by focusing on students from underprivileged areas, ensuring they have the same access to opportunities as their peers. By leveraging the world-class resources of the Allan I. Carswell Observatory, we bring real-world astronomy into the virtual classroom, bridging the gap between education and exploration.
Our goal is to inspire curiosity and help students explore the mysteries of the universe while empowering them with tools that make complex astronomical topics easy to understand and enjoyable to learn. We are committed to promoting equity in STEM by targeting underrepresented communities, fostering a love for science, and encouraging students to pursue careers in astronomy and related fields. Through these efforts, we strive to create a more inclusive and innovative future in STEM education.
